Manufacturer was Smith & Wesson, 2100 Roosevelt Ave., Springfield, MA. From its D232000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1970, under Bangor Punta Corporate Ownership. Type is traditional double and single action medium frame revolver. Construction is entirely steel metal with original factory service sized magna style grips. Frame is K medium sized, with square butt grip frame. Chambering is .38 Smith & Wesson Special caliber, acceptable for firing +P loads. Barrel is 2inch standard tapered, pinned into the frame. Sights are barrel integral serrated blade front with frame integral fixed notch rear. Cylinder capacity is 6 rounds. Trigger is .265 serrated face, with matching serrated spur hammer.
